FAQ
How is the G1 knowledge test organized?
DriveTest says knowledge tests have two or three sections, for example one on signs and one on rules of the road, and you need at least 80% to pass. It is multiple choice and not timed.
How much does the G1 cost?
DriveTest lists the Class G1 licence package at $159.75 (knowledge test, G2 road test and five-year licence). An extra knowledge test attempt is $16.00.
If I fail one section, do I redo the whole test?
No. If you retry within one year, you only redo the sections that did not meet the standard (DriveTest).
Are these the real G1 sign questions?
No. These are original questions that describe sign shapes, colours and meanings from the Official MTO Driver's Handbook.
